£58 or FREE if you are in receipt of a Means Tested Benefit for the 11 week course.
An informal course suitable for all abilities; whether you’re an absolute beginner to textiles, or a confident crafter who’d like to experiment with a range of processes.
This 11 week course is led by the Workers’ Education Association and takes place in the relaxing surroundings of the gallery. Come along to create functional textile works such as bags, cushions and books. You’ll also be able to have a go at embellishment, be inspired by a range of cultural influences, and incorporate recycled materials into your work.
The course takes inspiration from the Saltwell Park Museum exhibition, which includes an amazing array of objects. There’ll be the opportunity to design and produce textile books relating to the exhibition; a unique way to creatively explore the displays.
