balletLORENT will be holding its first dance Summer School at Jesmond United Reform Church from the 15 – 19 August – offering fun, creativity and physical activity for children aged from 6 years to 13 years.

Led by experienced balletLORENT dancers and teachers, children will take part in dance classes, activities and workshops based on themes from the fairytale Rumpelstiltskin. The summer school will culminate in a sharing of the week’s activities open to family and friends. .

Main activities will take place from 9.30am-4.30pm, but staff will be around from 8.30am-5.30pm to supervise your children should you wish to drop them off earlier .

To book your child’s place, please email james@balletlorent.com or telephone 0191 233 1811 .

In 2017 balletLORENT will premiere a brand new production of Rumpelstiltskin featuring an inter-generational community cast along side our own professional dancers. You can follow the creation of Rumpelstiltskin and see our upcoming performance dates from later this year on our website balletlorent.com .

Arts Award – Through balletLORENT’s Summer School, your child will be given an opportunity to complete an Arts Award appropriate to their age. Arts Award inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents: it’s creative, valuable and accessible. It deepens engagement with arts and culture, develops both creative and leadership skills, and importantly the Arts Award leads to a national qualification. This part of the Summer School is optional. For further information please visit artsaward.org.uk
