This introductory study day will provide an overview of the Benedictine tradition as lived in the Cathedral in the past, include a visit to some of the monastic buildings and will offer insights into how Benedict’s wisdom can helpfully inform non-monastic lives today.
No previous knowledge is necessary.

The day begins with Morning Prayer in the Cathedral at 8.45am and concludes with Evensong at 5.15pm.

A free event with donations of £10 welcome on the day. Tea and coffee will be provided – please bring your own lunch or eat in the Undercroft Restaurant. Contact events@durhamcathedral.co.uk to reserve a place.
