In light of Newcastle Startup Week, join Alex Iles from Iles Tours as he explains the history of Newcastle’s entrepreneurs and innovators – from the middle ages through to the present day. Newcastle as a city has been involved in shaping the world.

Such prevalent people have ranged from medieval merchants and 18th century world traders, right the way through to the great inventors and industrialists of the age of heavy industry. Reflected today via modern, digital technology and inventions, this talk will give you an understanding of Newcastle’s entrepreneurs and the modern technological industries happening in and around the city today.

This talk takes place in the Black Gate, which is fully accessible to wheelchair users.
