Automata and linkages are playful ways of exploring simple machine elements, such as cams and levers.
Working with simple materials, cardboard automata and linkages are easy to create, and can be as complex as your mechanical sculpture ideas.

They are a good example of integrating science and art into an activity that you can make as individual as you like.

This Making Space activity will run throughout the morning.
