Discovery Museum and Tyne & Wear Archives hold a variety of printing items in their collections including: a wooden press made by Apenshaw of London dating from around 1750; an Albion printing press made in 1868; and a range of posters, leaflets and ephemera printed using letterpress. See examples from the collections in the Destination Tyneside and Newcastle Story Galleries.
