On Wednesday 19 April 2017 we’re opening early for a private museum viewing for people with autism, learning disabilities or sensory and communication disorders, along with their families and carers.

You can explore the whole museum including our special exhibition Bones: Skeleton Secrets of the Animal World. Those booked on to this event will have access to the museum from 9.30 am and they will be able to meet some friends from Animal Story between 10.00 – 11.00 am before the general public can meet them. There will be many friends to meet including a pygmy hedgehog, blue tongued skink and a red foot tortoise.

You can download a Visual Story for the museum which may help prepare those who have not attended before for their visit.

The Visual Story for the Bones: Skeleton Secrets of the Animal World exhibition can be downloaded from here.
