A chance to see some beautiful early printed books around the theme of the Venerable Bede and the Anglo-Saxon world in which he lived, in the stunning surroundings of Durham Cathedral’s Refectory Library – part of the Library not usually open to visitors. See books printed from the 16th century onwards in Anglo-Saxon, Latin and English, and take this rare opportunity to get closer to one of the North East’s own saints.
Tickets: £5 (£4.50 concessions) available from the Durham World Heritage Site Visitor Centre 0191 334 3805. Tickets can be bought in advance or on the day, subject to availability.
