Robert McManners and Gillian Wales, experts on the work of Norman Cornish, will offer insights into the artist’s life and discuss Cornish’s self-portrait in relation to the rest of his work. Cornish’s self-portrait, which is part of the Laing’s permanent collection, is currently on display in the Modern Visionaries exhibition.

This event has been programmed to accompany the exhibition Modern Visionaries: Van Dyck and the Artists’ Eye, showing from 28 January – 4 June 2017.
