Act One: Fractured Voices

Act Two: Patterns of Purple Flowers

Based upon true events, Fractured Voices will explore the experiences of domestic violence from the perspective of those directly involved as well as those around them. Through the use of documentary theatre, this piece demonstrates the impact domestic violence has upon the lives of those immediately affected, friends and family, not only psychically but emotionally.

“We have spent too long fading from Green to Purple. From Purple to Black.

And it’s time to talk about it.”

A collection of devised stories from the Drama students at the University of Sunderland based around true stories of domestic abuse survivors and their family and friends.
