Pavlo Beznosiuk and Caroline Balding (violins), Richard Tunnicliffe (cello) and Roger Hamilton (harpsichord) make up one of England’s leading period instrument groups. The Avison Ensemble celebrate the legacy of Newcastle’s 18th century composer Charles Avison and the Italian influence on music of the period in this concert which features
music by Handel, Purcell, Corelli, Geminiani, Avison and others. One of Avison’s original manuscript Workbooks will be on view at the concert.
