Mark Pinder is a north east based photographer who was commissioned last year by The Independent newspaper to cover the Appleby Horse Fair.
To coincide with this year’s event, some of these photographs will be on show as part of a small retrospective of Mark’s work over the last 25 years as a photojournalist working in, and from, the north of England, bearing witness to some of the dramatic social and political changes Britain and the region has seen over that period.
