Washington Old Hall

Celebrating 60 years with the National Trust. Its hard to believe it was only in the 1930s that the hall was saved from demolition thanks to the forethought and tenacity of local school master Fred Hill. A new exhibition traces events before and after the hall was entrusted to the National Trust in 1956. Discover more of the stories from those who once called Washington Old Hall home. Take a stroll around the gardens or enjoy a cuppa as you soak up the scenery. There’s something for everyone at our special place.
