Join the Dean of Durham, the Very Reverend Andrew Tremlett, the Friends of the Finchale Camino, representatives of Durham County Council, Liz Fisher from The Auckland Project, and visitors from Spain on a celebratory pilgrimage from St Peter’s Chapel at Auckland Castle, Bishop Auckland to Durham Cathedral. The Bishop of Durham, the Right Reverend Paul Butler, will start the pilgrimage with a blessing. Pilgrims who have an official Camino passport will receive Camino Ingles stamps recognised at Santiago de Compostela as part of the Camino. The pilgrimage will be welcomed to Durham Cathedral at approximately 3.30pm by Canon Charlie Allen, followed by a procession to the Shrine of St Cuthbert.
