In addition to being one of the three galleries showing the 2016 Print Awards artists, Vane have organised this exhibition of recent work by Nick Christie. The artist records the subtle marks and gestures made during the processes of drawing and printmaking. In this series of monotype and collagraph prints, the images formed explore the constantly changing nature of everyday communication. Christie’s exhibition particularly reflects on the move from the physical interaction of the real printed page to its simulation on the screen of a smart phone or tablet.
