The Chorister School, Durham Cathedral’s Choir School, celebrates its 600th Anniversary in 2016.

At this Service of Thanksgiving current and former pupils, parents, staff and governors will gather to celebrate the life of The Chorister School. The service will be sung by the combined forces of Durham Cathedral Choir and The Galilee Choir, the Chapel Choir of The Chorister School, accompanied by Prince Bishops Brass and the Cathedral Organ.

A newly composed setting of the Jubilate by Philip Stopford has been commissioned for this service and a new Processional Cross for The Chorister School, designed and made by Simon Pattison, will be dedicated. The preacher will be Terry Waite CBE.

In the evening a Celebration Ball will be held for all those with an association with The Chorister School.
