Tyne Theatre & Opera House in association with Whitley Bay Film Festival: THE CINEMA YEARS

We invite you to enjoy classic films related to the Stoll Picture Theatre over three action-packed days! Feature films will be accompanied with animation workshops, scintillating talks about film, dainty teas and an opportunity for those with memories of the Stoll to recall those days. We will also be presenting screenings of some of the first films shown at the establishment, including archive material and a range of exhibits.

Doors 10.30am, start 11.00pm (end approx 12 noon)

Before King Kong, we will conduct a massive monster animation experiment harnessing the creative powers of the entire audience to produce the images and sound effects that will make our own Tyne Theatre horror creature.

Limited places. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Participants must bring a smart phone (mac or android) loaded with the free app: Stop Motion Studio (www.cateater.com/stopmotionstudio) and ensure they have plenty of space on their phone and it should be fully charged.

Archive Footage will be playing in the Bistro and Coffee Lounge throughout the day. (No tickets required)
