10am - 4pm Tuesday to Saturday
Spanning fine art painting, printmaking, ceramics, paper-cut, and mixed-media installation much of the work in The Earth’s Layers exhibition is conceptual, yet all of it is entirely accessible due to physical, tactile nature of the work selected for display. The artists comprise a mix of established and early career artists living and working across the north of England and exhibiting together for the first time in this exhibition. Many of the works are inspired by maps, paths, and topography, whilst others are inspired by naturally occurring geological formations, and other works are inspired by the greater forces of nature, and their related wayfinding systems.
