Gases exist all around us, but most are invisible and don’t have a smell. In this live theatre show, our Science Explainers will use a variety of demonstrations to reveal interesting facts about these hidden substances. For example, what happens when you dunk a balloon into a bucket of liquid nitrogen? You’ll also learn how oxygen is made on planes, how harnessing the power of hydrogen could help us to have a greener future – and much more! Recommended suitable for ages 5+. The Secret World of Gases programme is led by the UK Association for Science and Discovery Centres and funded by The Royal Society of Chemistry and BOC, the UK’s biggest industrial and medical gases company.
