Get your fix of fright - Eight things to do this Halloween

With so much going on this Halloween we’ve done the hard work for you and picked out eight spook-tacular events to get your fix of fright.
1. Glass Making Experience @ Sunderland Glass Centre
29 – 30 October
Create a colourful hot glass pumpkin for Halloween! An opportunity to personalise your pumpkin by applying coloured glass at over 1100 degrees centigrade. Minimum age 16. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
2. Catacombs 4D Motion Ride @ Life Science Centre
Daily until 4 November
Travel back in time to 19th century Paris where a mysterious darkness takes over the streets. Be the first to discover a haunted ride that explores the world famous cemetery that haunts the city and its inhabitants from beneath the ground. Experience every twist, turn, high and low as your seat moves in time to the 3D action on screen in the 4D Motion Ride. You can expect to be blasted with wind, smoke and water, and you’ll even be able to smell the action!
3. Zombie Run @ Hamsterley Forest
29 October
We have reports that blood-thirsty, flesh-hungry zombies are heading to Hamsterley. Only you can save yourself! Negotiate the 5km course including obstacles and evade the zombies to reach the decontamination chamber! Can you make it?
Over 16’s only.
4. Linskill Chase @ Linskill Centre, North Shields
28 – 30 October
Could You Survive The Linskill Chase? The apocalypse is here and the abandoned school has been taken over by the undead. Experience the afterlife first hand as you race around the maze of corridors and terrifying rooms, being chased by zombies, stalked by soulless creatures and preyed upon by a masked madman wielding a chainsaw.
5. The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari – Halloween live soundtrack
30 October
This creepy carnival-themed special event will centre on one of the most iconic films in cinema history: Robert Wiene’s silent masterpiece which shook filmgoers worldwide and changed the direction of the art form.
6. Pumpkin Trail@ Woodhorn Museum
Daily until 30 October
Can you find all the pumpkins that are hiding in the shadowy corners of Woodhorn Museum?
Pick up your trail sheet at the Welcome Desk then explore the museum to try and find all the hidden pumpkins. If you manage to find all the pumpkins, make your way back to the Welcome Desk with your completed trail sheet to receive a small treat!
7. Scream Factory @ Redcar
Daily until 30 October
Immerse yourself into a horrifying world that you couldn’t imagine even in your worst nightmares. With all the sounds, odours and backdrops you would only expect to find on a Hollywood movie set, this unique and creative horror attraction is a scream for young and old alike.
8. The Dark Garden @ Alnwick Castle
Daily until 31 October
Can you trust your senses? Or is it a trick of the light? What really lies in waiting in the darkest shadows of the All Hallows gardens?
