This funny and heart-warming adaptation features vibrant classical choreography danced by some of the finest dancers around. Mendelssohn’s joyous music is interpreted by Artistic Director Darius James and highlights radiant costumes, sets and video projection.

A world of magic and mayhem.

“Impressively able dancers and a choreographer
who can make use of every gift they have.”

The Sunday Telegraph on A Midsummer Night’s Dream

The Queen of the Fairies Titania, and Puck the mischievous messenger, inhabit the supernatural fairy kingdom. Bottom and his boot-wearing “Rude Mechanicals” present their famous play Pyramus and Thisbe. And finally, the lovers, caught in a thrilling web of mistaken identity and confusion finally find their way through the Athenian forest to an unforgettable and joyous reconciliation.

Ballet Wales are a young, vital group of dancers who are pushing back the barriers of classical ballet.

Ballet Wales is committed to inclusion and innovation in dance and classical ballet, and to the highest standard of collaboration with dancers, choreographers, designers, composers and musicians. Under the Artistic Direction of Darius James, the company continues to develop its relationship with audiences through accessible outreach work and exceptional, stylish performances.

“These young ballet pioneers deserve wider support.
Catch them if you can.”
The Dancing Times.

“It’s a small enterprise with a great deal to shout about.”
