Birdoswald Roman Fort, on Hadrian’s Wall, is proud to be hosting The Mansio – a travelling, specially designed, venue where commissioned pieces of work by leading contemporary poets and authors will be shared with the public.
This 21st century Mansio references the Roman teahouses and official stopping places along a Roman road, and the venue will be touring sites along Hadrian’s Wall throughout Summer 2016.
This is a Hexham Book Festival and Arts & Heritage commission, supported by Arts Council England Strategic touring fund.
