Senior pupils from Durham High School for Girls are joined by Year 5 girls from a number of local primary schools to stage Oscar Wilde’s timeless tale of The Happy Prince. Jan Stroud’s adaptation of The Happy Prince, which won a place in the finals of The International Musical of the Year, stays true to the original story: through the generosity of The Happy Prince and the courage of the Swallow we are shown that the most precious things in life are often the least obvious.
