Stargazing Supper – with Gary Lintern

Book Now

24 October 2019

£35 per person

Join us in our Gatehouse for an evening of stargazing with Gary Lintern. Gary is an expert in his field and will give a beginners’ guide to stargazing. If the weather is clear, expect a trip to the bottom of our garden to look at the night sky through astronomy binoculars (there will be enough for everyone). You will be able to see a great deal through the binoculars. Some objects, such as star clusters, look better than they do through telescopes. We will also discuss free software and mobile apps, to help you find your way around the night sky.

  • Date: Thursday 24 October 2019, 7 to 10pm
  • VenueThe Lord Crewe Arms, Blanchland (DH8 9SP)
  • Booking: Pre-booking essential via the Lord Crewe Arms
  • Cost: £35 per person

There will be hearty stew and a delicious pud to keep you warm, with the fire pits lit, cosy blankets and hot chocolate. Wrap up and bring a red light torch (if you have one).

This event is part of the North Pennines Stargazing Festival running from 23 October to 3 November 2019
