More than 50 years after their first hit, the Beatles still remain as the best-loved band in the world.
With a string of classic tunes, they hold a special place in the hearts of millions of music fans.
Now a popular tribute band is set to recreate that magic in SOUTH SHIELDS.
Although they weren’t even born when their heroes were blazing a trail in the 60s, Beatlemania have managed to re-capture the spirit of the super-group with their energetic live shows.
Featuring South Shields born musician David Peterson as Paul McCartney, the line-up is completed by Durham born Rick Petch as George Harrison, Clark Gilmour as John Lennon and Joey Montague as Ringo Starr.
On Sunday 14th October the Fab Four sound-a-likes will be taking to the stage at The Customs House to perform over 40 classic hits as part of a UK tour.
“The show features iconic Beatles songs with different costumes to represent the various eras,” David explains.
Imitating the real group’s road to stardom, the band began in the pubs and clubs of the UK, and quickly built on the success of those gigs to become one of the leading Beatles shows in the world.
