Chechelele is a long-established unconventional mixed choir from York that performs traditional songs from all over the world, occasionally incorporating musical accompaniment with drum, percussion, fiddle, guitar. Masters in four-part harmony its singers have delighted audiences in the North for almost thirty years, with rare forays abroad to France and Germany, and in pre-covid years to the Edinburgh Fringe: …… ‘music with stories and meanings performed with energy and joy. Creating harmonies which reflect moods of celebration and thoughtfulness. …. back to delight audiences for a second year.’…. (Broadway Baby, Fringe Review, Aug., 2016)
