The annual summer-long free South Tyneside Festival kicks off in June with our fantastic Live Music at the Amphitheatre events.

Every Thursday and Saturday evening in June, except Saturday 8 June, the Seafront Amphitheatre will host outdoor performances from some of the most talented bands from around the region.

The line-up is:

Saturday 1 June – The Garage Studios presents
A showcase evening of new music brought to you by The Garage Recording and Rehearsal Studios, South Shields.

Thursday 6 June – NE Street Band 
The North East’s own sounds of Springsteen band. Playing iconic songs from Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band.

Thursday 13 June – Sound Divide
A fantastic 4 piece rock band playing cover songs by The Police, Foo Fighters, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and more…

Saturday 15 June – The Wet Bandits
Harmony laden floor fillers and classics from some of the area’s finest musicians.

Thursday 20 June – South Tyneside College Music Department
Annual showcase event from South Tyneside College’s music department. Always a great event!

Saturday 22 June – The Sound Cartel
Dynamic South Tyneside 5 piece featuring two bumper hours of classics from The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Duran Duran, Bowie, The Beatles, The Boss, Queen, Coldplay and many more.

Thursday 27 June – The Alibis
High energy female fronted power trio featuring music from the 70’s to the present day.

Saturday 29 June – Bessie and the Zinc Buckets
The ever popular Bessie and the Zinc Buckets will once again bring Rockabilly mayhem to the Amphitheatre!

Danceclass plus support

Join us for this special one-off reunion gig from local legends Danceclass who headlined the first ever Amphitheatre Live Music season back in 1989!
