“Join Stockton-on Tees for the annual Mayor’s Charity Duck Race on Saturday, July 9 at 1.30pm. This event will be part of a ‘Pirate festival Fun Day’, starting at 11am and finishing at 8pm with activities and performances throughout the day.

You can sponsor a duck by donating just £1 and all money raised will go to the charities of the three regiments that have Freedom of our Borough:

• The Rifles’ Care for Casualties
• The Yorkshire Regiment Benevolent Fund
• 1 Close Support Battalion REME

The first ducks to cross the line will win lovely prizes for those who have sponsored them. Ducks can be sponsored at Rediscover Stockton Shop on the High Street and at Municipal Buildings reception on Church Road in Stockton.”
