It’s time for another packet…

After a fantastic national tour in 2013, Miss Crispy 1988 makes it way to The Gala Theatre, Durham to celebrate ten years of less is MORE productions – with new and improved flavour!

Despite all of the glitz and glamour of working on line two, the girls are looking for something new, something racy and something to sink their teeth into because life can’t be all about Cheese and Onion crisps. With the announcement of a beauty pageant the ladies are ready and raring to go – with perms, leg warmers and shoulder pads this is the 80’s at its best – it’s the 80’s in Billingham!

Inspired by a series of interviews with women from Teesside, Miss Crispy 1988 follows the journey of five very unique ladies through the depths of love, compassion and adversity.

*Warning!! This production contains mild language and lots of crisp eating.*

“The play is sparkling comedy on the surface, but with darker subtexts waiting to be revealed” Northern Echo

“Sobering…recognising the many witty takes on life, relishing glorious comical moments” Darlington and Stockton Times
