A stunning exhibition of paper art and storytelling that showcases the best of contemporary paper-cut and artist’s books.
From exquisite hand-cut paper to the latest laser-cut techniques; sculptural paper works, installation and intimate book works. The artists explore a variety of themes with a deft stitch here, a sharp scalpel there, coated with a generous helping of wry humour. This year’s tour includes work by British stars of the paper-cut genre such as Rob Ryan; innovators such as Andy Singleton and ambitious emerging artists. The show’s international profile includes work from Linda Toigo (Italy), Mayumi Arakawa (Japan) and Priya Pereira (India).
Open: Monday to Friday 10.00am – 5.00pm, Saturday 10.00am – 4.00pm
Workshop: Saturday 26 November 10.00am-4.00pm: Learn to use traditional Japanese techniques, a stab stitch to bind the pages and cover together. More details here.
