Discover, explore and celebrate the story and work of the Pitmen Painters, the Ashington Group of artists whose story is rooted in Northumberland and which continues to inspire people today with a special programme of exhibitions, events and things to do.

Pitmen Painters Unseen – An exhibition of previously unseen works by Ashington Group members on loan to the museum from private homes and collections.

The Ashington Paintings by Narbi Price. New exhibition of work informed by the materials and methods of the Ashington Group and features locations in Ashington today. Narbi is winner of the Contemporary British Painting Prize 2017,

You can also take part in our daily talks and tours which include spotlight tours of the Ashington Group Gallery (including one for kids!) and our Dig Deeper! colliery tours.

New membership scheme in operation: kids go free and adult pay just once for 12 months unlimited returns.
