Defeat school holiday boredom at Life Science Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne this summer, with an action-packed family day out full of super heroes and video games.

Highlights for visitors include:

  • Challenge friends and family to a multiplayer game, or set the high score in an arcade classic – there’s something for everyone in our exciting exhibition Game On 2.0.
  • Watch Super Hero Science – a show performed in Life’s in-house theatre that explores whether the powers of four super heroes can be replicated using science.
  • Get hands-on with a changing programme of activities in the brand-new Making Studios, including lino cutting, block printing and super hero costume designing – there’ll be a new activity to make and take home every week. And, for one day only, award-winning costume designer Paul Shriek will be at Life on 19 August to help take your super hero costume designs to the next level!
  • Experience what the Earth looks like from above in the planetarium show A View from Space, or explore the stars with the presenter-led show Live Skies. For little ones, Naughty Monsters in the Sky explains where the Sun goes at night and why the Moon changes shape.

At Life, everything is included with daytime admission to the science centre, including the blockbuster exhibition Game On 2.0, the planetarium, live theatre shows and making activities – you won’t find any hidden charges here!
