Packing Stockton-On-Tees with stunning street theatre, breath-taking circus performances, dynamic dance and our wonderful Community Carnival, this year’s Festival focuses on community, family and how any journey, regardless of size, can affect your relationships.

SIRF are thrilled to announce that the opening show for 2016 is Furious Folly by Mark Anderson of Dark Spark.

Furious Folly focuses on the conflicts of World War 1, combining music, performance and mechanical creations to express shell shock and the opposition to war.

Due to the scale of this show Furious Folly will be taking place at Preston Park, opening this year’s festival on Thursday 4 August with a repeat performance the following night.

There will still be a full programme of performances on SIRF’s traditional home of Stockton Town Centre from Friday 5 August.
