Your chance to help make an original artwork, to be displayed at the Shipley Art Gallery.

We’re taking inspiration from the beautiful Victorian scrapbook on display in the exhibition Saltwell Park Museum at the Shipley. Using pastels, watercolour pencils, ink and paper, we’ll embellish the pages of a large Edwardian leather ledger. The resulting artwork will go on display in the exhibition for all to see.

Textile artist Ruth Gowland will help you to find inspiration and try a range of art materials and techniques. There’s so much on display to spark the imagination – from glassware and ceramics, to fossils and taxidermy. Come and be inspired by what you see and embellish a page of our big book.

For adults (teenagers welcome if accompanied by an adult).
