This year marks the 500th anniversary of the publication of Martin Luther’s Ninety Five Theses and the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. Take the opportunity to see some of our manuscripts and early printed books and learn about the impact of the Reformation, including the dissolution of Durham Priory in 1539 and the establishment of Durham Cathedral in 1541. This event will take place in the beautiful surroundings of the Refectory Library – usually closed to visitors.

Tickets: £5 (£4.50 concessions) available from the Visitor’s Desk at the West End of Durham Cathedral. Tickets can be bought in advance or on the day, subject to availability.
