Presented as part of the Bradford’s Victoria Cross Commemoration, a rare opportunity to hear all the Durham Hymns performed purely as a choral work by Voices of Hope, an award-winning northern chamber choir who are in the finals of the BBC’s Choir of Year. Durham Hymns is a First World War commemorative project delivered by The Northern Regional Brass Band Trust in partnership with Durham County Council. The music for the Durham Hymns has been written by composers Orlando Gough and Jessica Curry with lyrics by Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy.
