PREVIEW: Grease Drive-In Screening @ Wynyard Hall

Posted on August 2nd 2017 by Whats on Northeast

It’s the one that you want! Give your car some ‘Greased Lightning’, get together with the Pink Ladies or the T-Birds and head down to Wynyard Hall on 11th August for a very special outdoor screening of the musical classic ‘Grease’!

As the sun sets on the grounds of Wynyard, the sun is also setting on another summer holiday – and the short romance between Danny (John Travolta) and Sandy (Olivia Newton-John). As they go back to their regular lives as Rydell High School, they are unaware of each other’s presence. When Sandy spills the beans to Rizzo, who then sets up a meeting between the pair, Danny maintains his “bad boy” attitude and ends up upsetting her. But as graduation grows ever nearer and thoughts turn to adulthood, the pair decide to change for each other.

For an added touch of nostalgia, Wynyard Hall are inviting moviegoers to bring their cars and park in the grounds of the hall to experience the timeless romance between Sandy and Danny. Each ticket includes a drink voucher, with even more delicious food and drink available to purchase on site. It’s the ultimate way to experience one of the best cinematic musicals of all time!

For more information on the Drive-In Screening, visit the Wynyard Hall website.
