PREVIEW: Thousands to attend Riverside Fireworks

Posted on October 28th 2019 by Whats on Northeast

Ticket sales for Chester le Street Riverside Fireworks have gone extremely well with organisers, Stanley Events, expecting over 10,000 people to attend.

Riverside Fireworks returns this year with a Magical Family Movies theme featuring a spectacular fully choreographed fireworks display accompanied by songs from favourite family movies including The Lion King, Aladdin, Frozen and many more.

This year as part of the fantastic range of entertainment there will be an opportunity for a meet and greet with favourite family movie characters Aladdin and Jasmine and Woody and Jessie from Toy Story.

The event will once again feature a whole host of entertainment for all the family with a funfair, a wide range of street food stalls and a fully licensed bar selling some of the best locally produced Ales, Beers and Gins.

Entertaining the crowd ready for the fireworks display will be the fantastic CBBC channel’s Annie Guy, who will sing songs from some of this year’s latest films and there will also be live music from the outstanding Geoff Mull, Singer Songwriter from Newcastle who appeared on the X Factor in 2014.

Organisers have put in place a number of safety measures to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable night.  There will be a strong security presence at the event and to ensure everyone’s enjoyment and safety, please support the event organisers by not bringing unnecessary bags to the event and by cooperating with the onsite security team as bag searches will be taking place.

Organisers ask that those attending do not park inconsiderately; steward and traffic measures will be in place to prevent parking in residential areas. A small number of on-site car parking tickets are still available to buy. For those who have bought car parking tickets in advance please ensure that these are downloaded, printed and clearly displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle.
